Dear all  To work at a certain place for over half of your life time is not easy. There are many stages that lead us to where we are today and many obstacles that we have overcome. I believe that the first 5 years of working, is the time that you learn and discover whether or not you would continue working here. After the first 5 years, comes the next 5 years, to 10 years, 20 years, and to 25 years. You have been working here for 25 years today, and that proves your loyalty in serving the Lord at Payap University. Whether you are Christian or not, we share the same dedication to do our best and serve. This makes you part of Payap’s legacy. You deserved to be honored in your all your doing to serve at Payap University. May God continue to lead you in all your ways,...

The Overall Educational Picture of Payap University and the Journey to Today Changes:             When we mention university, many people then think it is a faraway matter from them.  University is the watchtower of education that has little connection with people; however when we look in another aspect, university is the “highest/abundant educational institute”; the word abundance means having plentiful and prosperous which is my vision of education while also visualize the engines driving Payap University to become the “highest/abundant educational institute” that is the residence for fulfilling and exchanging applicable knowledge; and also cultivating and training of both the learners and the educators. ...
There was an accident in which a vehicle hit an electrical pole in front of a shop at the approach to the double bridge, which broke the pole and caused it to lean.  The university’s Resource Management Division (RMD) examined the damage and tried to find a way to repair the pole back into good condition, contacting several parties.  We found out that the pole belongs to the Telephone Organization of Thailand (TOT) and the university cannot do anything about it.  So we contacted TOT and they acknowledged the situation and are in the process of replacing the pole.  Meanwhile our RMD has been keeping after the matter, and while we wait for repairs to be done our own staff pounded metal posts around it so it poses no hazard to those using that area.  The university...

A meeting of the executive committee was held on April 28 in the meeting room of the Office of the President, Payap University. ...
I was very impressed with the camaraderie and unity expressed by students and personnel as we conducted the annual lovely Thai traditional blessing ceremony (rote naam dam hua) for our presidents and most senior administrators, on the 21st of April.  Thank you to the committee and all who prepared so many things, making the ceremony moving and beautiful.  I had the chance to talk with our past presidents and senior guests and they all expressed that they were delighted that respect which Payap folks have for them is undiminished. In Northern Thai we call this  piti su-ma karawa sa’ klao dam hua (a respectful pouring of water on heads)  referring to the fact that younger persons ask to be forgiven for whatever lapses of respect they may have committed physically,...
Easter is the time when Christians celebrate the day of the Lord Jesus Christ being raised from death.  Christians believe that Jesus was born a human being, lived life as an ordinary human being, and carried out a diverse mission as is recounted in the Bible, until at the end of his life he yielded to death on the cross to atone for all humankind.  He was interred in a grave shut with a thick stone, but on the third day he was resurrected.  The grave was empty.  He is the Victorious Lord God.     Easter is set by the lunar calendar, so the date changes every year.  This year Easter fell on April 16.  Easter celebrations are being held around the world.  Payap University will hold an Easter service in the Henry Luce Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday...

All of us who are at Payap University, as well as alumni and acquaintances who respected Dr. Konrad Kingshill were saddened to be informed that he died at his residence in California on February 28, 2017.  He was a central figure in the establishment of Payap.  He served as a Presbyterian missionary in Thailand from the United States for 41 years, beginning in 1947.  He was a model broad-minded thinker, determined to succeed, transparent in his work, trustworthy, and never critical of anyone.  His legacy includes the development of educational quality from the primary level through higher education.  He was the originator of a retirement pension plan for personnel of the Foundation of the Church of Christ in Thailand.  Not only that, he was a blessing in the lives...
