This past week there were many activities going on both within and outside the university.  There was an ENGLISH CAMP for students from Chiang Khum Wittayakhom School conducted by the Humanities Faculty.  The International College had an E-Sports Tournament for outside students.  The College of Music together with colleagues from the community presented Carl Orff’s challenging CARMINA BURANA cantata at the Kad Theatre. The Business Administration faculty held a professional certificate examination for Tour Guides from outside.  In addition there were meetings of the Board of Trustees’ Auditing Committee as well as the Committee on Financial Development which agreed on a number of proposals to be brought to the Board.  Then on Saturday an unexpected thing...
I want to thank all students and staff who joined in the Opening Worship Service this past Wednesday, August 10, which included prayers of blessing for Her Majesty the Queen and honors being paid to faculty and staff who have completed 25 years of service here at Payap University.  This week there are two important activities: the second annual rice planting in our “Organic Agriculture” project, August 17, 2016 beginning at 6 a.m.  There will be a traditional “teacher veneration ceremony” (Wai Kru) for this academic year at 9 a.m., August 18.  All students and faculty are invited to join in this annual custom.  An announcement has been made that classes will be canceled for the morning.
This week Payap University will have a worship service to open the new academic year, to ask for God’s blessing on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s birthday, and to give thanks for those who have completed 25 years of service to Payap University.  The service will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10 in the Luce Chapel.  Please join us and add to the community spirit. During the past week the number of new students enrolled this year has increased to 1014.  This includes those enrolled in Nurse’s Aide, Christian Studies, and International Foundation Studies certificate programs.  I would like to call upon all personnel to take care of these incoming students in the way their parents expect when they entrusted them to us.  Also, please...
