There was an accident in which a vehicle hit an electrical pole in front of a shop at the approach to the double bridge, which broke the pole and caused it to lean. The university’s Resource Management Division (RMD) examined the damage and tried to find a way to repair the pole back into good condition, contacting several parties. We found out that the pole belongs to the Telephone Organization of Thailand (TOT) and the university cannot do anything about it. So we contacted TOT and they acknowledged the situation and are in the process of replacing the pole. Meanwhile our RMD has been keeping after the matter, and while we wait for repairs to be done our own staff pounded metal posts around it so it poses no hazard to those using that area. The university will continue to press for permanent repairs (by TOT).
