EASTER SEASON

Easter is the time when Christians celebrate the day of the Lord Jesus Christ being raised from death.  Christians believe that Jesus was born a human being, lived life as an ordinary human being, and carried out a diverse mission as is recounted in the Bible, until at the end of his life he yielded to death on the cross to atone for all humankind.  He was interred in a grave shut with a thick stone, but on the third day he was resurrected.  The grave was empty.  He is the Victorious Lord God.

Easter is set by the lunar calendar, so the date changes every year.  This year Easter fell on April 16.  Easter celebrations are being held around the world.  Payap University will hold an Easter service in the Henry Luce Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday April 19.  All Payap personnel and students are invited to attend the worship service and an Easter egg hunt afterward.  Eggs are a symbol of Easter in that they produce new life.

Welcome back, everyone.  I hope we will all receive divine blessing.
