Land Development

Those of you who use the driveway onto the campus from the Ring Road have no doubt noticed changes being made to the grounds next to the underpass.  I would like to inform everyone that the university has received permission from the university’s Board of Trustees as well as the Foundation of the Church of Christ in Thailand to let investors lease a tract of 4 rai and 11 square wa (about 1 2/3 acres) of land for 30 years for the construction of a gasoline service station and related buildings by PTT.  It is expected that the construction will take about 12 months.  When construction is completed PYU personals, students and the surrounding community will have more convenient access to petrol and to other businesses on the site.  Aside from that, the grounds on that part of the campus will be greatly beautified.  At this time the university is studying options for access to and from the Ring Road to provide for optimum convenience, safety and beauty.  During the period of construction please exercise caution while driving in this area to avoid unexpected accidents.

On Saturday 24 September from 9 until noon the university will have the third TTT session on the subject “Economizing on Expenses by the University”, in the meeting room of the Office of the President.  All personnel who are interested are invited to join in the brainstorming session to ideas that might be valuable ways to save on expenses in the operation of the university.  In the afternoon, from 1:30 to 4 the university will have a meeting of Christian personnel in the Srivilai-Tongmuan Room of the Somsaowalee Building (Faculty of Nursing) on the Kaewnawarat Campus.  All Christian personnel are urged to gather for this meeting.
