Activities

This past week there were many activities going on both within and outside the university.  There was an ENGLISH CAMP for students from Chiang Khum Wittayakhom School conducted by the Humanities Faculty.  The International College had an E-Sports Tournament for outside students.  The College of Music together with colleagues from the community presented Carl Orff’s challenging CARMINA BURANA cantata at the Kad Theatre. The Business Administration faculty held a professional certificate examination for Tour Guides from outside.  In addition there were meetings of the Board of Trustees’ Auditing Committee as well as the Committee on Financial Development which agreed on a number of proposals to be brought to the Board.  Then on Saturday an unexpected thing happened: a bird flew into a transformer causing it to explode cutting off electricity to a whole western area of the campus for many hours. Our personnel had to pitch in to make alternate arrangements so that everything could be carried on as planned.

On Saturday, August 27 from 9 to 12 all interested persons are invited to a 3rd round of the THINK TANK TEAM (TTT) on the topic, “Ways of Cutting Expenses for the University” in the President’s Meeting Room.
